Education at CPH

CPH believes in the importance of theatre education to the well-being of young people and the community that is its mission to serve. We use it as a tool to bond community with community; to bolster our knowledge of ourselves and others; to amplify our artistic awareness as participants and practitioners. Through our commitment to a diverse portfolio of educational programming available to children, teachers, and parents both in and out of school, CPH will help address this issue in Northeast Ohio and develop innovative programs that can be replicated across the country.

In-School Programs

To eliminate financial and geographic barriers of attending our theatres, CPH brings theatre education programs directly to schools in the tri-state region.

Programs at CPH

In our theatres and classrooms, young people and the adults who support them discover theatre as an essential component of learning and development.

CWRU/CPH MFA Program

Every two years, the CWRU/CPH MFA Acting Program accepts a class of eight actors into its three-year program. The intimate class size, and the fact that students are accepted only every other year, enables the program to tailor curriculum and performance experiences to suit the specific training needs of each class.
