Tonight kicks off the New Ground Theatre Festival at Cleveland Play House with The Untitled Navarro Sisters Play at 7:30 PM!

This commissioned new play with music by Sandra Delgado is inspired by the lives of the Navarro Sisters. Originally from Panama, this singing quartet made Chicago their home in the 1920s, sharing their artistry through both Spanish and English language songs.

The play features popular music of the era, including the theme song from the radio program on which the sisters performed each week. The music is woven throughout the scenes and storytelling, offering audiences a vibrant glimpse into who these remarkable women were and how they expressed themselves through their art.

There’s still time to grab tickets for tonight’s performance, and be sure to check out the other readings happening throughout the weekend.
